gratitude

before you knew there were things like width and dimension like subtlety and shape you were pressed hard to the heart with a sharp sensation of suspension if such a feeling might be so characterized

and this suspension which has followed your every breath is only rooted in the kindness of the world blossoming beneath your toes

and in the heat of the love of your friends your precious diamonds your sacred enemies and your every other potential knowing you fall flat in the mid-air space of living quavering mumbling thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you stay
