Hosanna

Fireplace, firelight Casts ominous shadows on scarred skin And a luminous face preceeds a luminous touch Words that have been formed Stopped by immediacy and Your heart in my throat The way cosmos condescends To our silence and the soundless "yes" and "yes" and "yes" Forming all argument And your heart in my throat

The closet demon consequence And an apathetic answer to an anxious question Divisive fear, once risen Unchecked by necessity and My tongue in your hair The way that corn-flake terror crows Careless and the stoic "i can't" and "i won't" Forming all argument And my tongue in your hair

You take me to the pinnacle To the apex of experience You show me all joy and wonder You unlock all mystery You say all of this all of this will be yours if you bow down and worship me
