poetry of jesse wiles

you just hurt, that's all

when you do not grieve the loss of the butterfly against the windscreen you lose something of the beauty of person-ness

for how can it be that a one could go and another remain without some pause to stop the endless race to the next lying pleasantness

do not ever wrap the bulbous sore of is with the lying frosting of tomorrow or the more insidious philosophy curse

be broken at this chance be rent and prone be the sadness of bombs in the thick night sky

stay husband stay stay beyond eons and eternities

grieve world grieve that the one who was here is not here and the one alighting passed beyond

turn your laughter to tears turn your jocund rills to dirges be ever sad for the beauty that is gone

for grief never lies for pain never relents and any beauty there ever was is born of that cocoon truth called sadness

stay husband stay stay beyond idleness and regret

at last do not ever shun that holy vanguard hurt but steep in her fragrance and bask in her honey-sweet honesty

for this one gone is your lost child is your lost husband is your lost mother and you just hurt

that's all
